Veteran-Owned True North Legacy Group to Relocate Offices to ECIDA’s Enterprise Building in Rincon

January 28, 2026

Effingham County, GA — The Effingham County Industrial Development Authority (ECIDA) is pleased to announce that True North Legacy Group, a veteran-owned financial and legacy planning firm, will relocate its offices from Bluffton, South Carolina to The Enterprise Building, ECIDA’s new professional office development in Effingham County.

Founded in 2016, True North Legacy Group provides comprehensive legacy and financial planning services, including estate planning, retirement strategies, tax mitigation, insurance solutions, and Medicare guidance. The relocation represents a strategic return to the community where the company was originally founded and positions the firm for long-term growth while expanding access to its services for Effingham County residents.

“True North Legacy Group’s decision to locate in The Enterprise Building reflects the purpose behind this project—creating a home for service-oriented businesses that are committed to Effingham County and invested in its future,” said Matt Saxon, Chairman of the Effingham County Industrial Development Authority. “We are proud to welcome this veteran-owned company back to the community and into a facility designed to support professional growth, collaboration, and long-term stability.”

True North Legacy Group is led by Tim and Nicky Long, who moved to the region in 2004 and have called Effingham County home for the past six years. Tim Long retired as a U.S. Army special operations helicopter pilot after a 22-year career, including 11 years stationed at Hunter Army Airfield.

“For us, this move is about coming home,” said Tim Long, Founder of True North Legacy Group. “Relocating to this new building in Rincon gives us the opportunity to establish a long-term base in the community where our family lives and where our business began. We’re excited to be closer to our clients, more connected to our neighbors, and better positioned to grow.”

Nicky Long emphasized the personal and community impact of the relocation.

“Effingham County is home for our family, and locating our office here allows us to truly put down roots,” said Nicky Long, Co-Owner of True North Legacy Group. “Being seven minutes from home instead of forty-five changes everything—it gives us more time with our kids, more time with our clients, and more opportunities to be present in the community we serve.”

In addition to client services, True North Legacy Group plans to host free, public educational seminars from its new location. These sessions will focus on topics such as estate planning, retirement readiness, tax mitigation strategies, and long-term financial planning, offering community members access to information and resources in a professional, welcoming environment.

“Education has always been central to what we do,” Nicky Long added. “We’re excited to offer free seminars that give people access to information in a relaxed, local setting and help them feel confident about planning for the future.”

True North Legacy Group is leasing space larger than its immediate needs to accommodate future growth, including additional staff members. The firm will initially operate with three in-person employees, with plans to add additional staff as the business grows. The company anticipates opening its Effingham County office in The Enterprise Building later this year.

The Enterprise Building was developed by ECIDA to support business recruitment, retention, and entrepreneurship, providing modern office space designed to foster professional services, collaboration, and sustainable economic growth.

“Relocations like this demonstrate the importance of creating high-quality office environments that give companies a reason to invest locally,” said Brandt Herndon, Chief Executive Officer of ECIDA. “We’re proud that The Enterprise Building is attracting businesses like True North that are deeply rooted in this community and committed to serving it.”
