Bradshaw Home Officially Opens East Coast Distribution Facility
December 14, 2023
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA – Bradshaw Home (“Bradshaw” or the “Company”), a leading designer and marketer of kitchenware, bakeware, and cleaning products, with brands including GoodCook® and Casabella®, celebrated the official opening of its 1.2 million-square-foot distribution center in Effingham County, Georgia. The facility, located at the Savannah Portside International Park near Meldrim, benefits from proximity to the Port of Savannah and Georgia’s world-class logistics infrastructure.
At the ribbon cutting, Bradshaw CEO Tony Hair said the now fully operational facility is ideally located to serve Bradshaw customers in the eastern half of the U.S. “Today we celebrate the culmination of two years of hard work and collaboration with the State of Georgia and our ability to serve our customers better,” he said. “With two-thirds of outbound shipments from this facility, Bradshaw customers east of the Rockies will get what they need, faster. And, with fewer freight miles, we anticipate reducing CO2 emissions by 8 million pounds, so there’s an environmental upside as well.”
To lead operations inside the facility, Bradshaw partnered with NFI Distribution Services. The new distribution center has already created over 230 new jobs, with various roles still recruiting. Governor Brian Kemp credits smart policy for Bradshaw choosing Georgia. “Georgia supports businesses with robust infrastructure and skilled workers,” said Governor Kemp. “We focus on creating good jobs for hardworking Georgians – investing in assets like housing and trade-focused education. Today, we see how that investment pays off. Bradshaw Home is creating opportunities for workers right here.”
“At NFI, we treat our customer’s brands and products as our own,” said Bill Mahoney, EVP and CCO at NFI. “I’m excited about our partnership with Bradshaw, bringing in hundreds of job opportunities to eastern Georgia and enhancing the customer experience for consumers nationwide.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Bradshaw Home to Effingham County,” said Matt Saxon, Chairman of the Effingham County Industrial Development Authority. “Congratulations to our friends and partners at Panattoni Development on securing a world class tenant at their building in Savannah Portside International Park.”
“Bradshaw Home’s new facility is the perfect location from which to reach domestic markets spanning from Dallas to Chicago,” said Griff Lynch, President and CEO of the Georgia Ports Authority. “Georgia is positioned at the center of a logistics network featuring 35 weekly containership calls, Class I rail service from CSX and Norfolk Southern, and unsurpassed interstate connectivity.”
Regional project manager Dorie Bacon represented the Georgia Department of Economic Development’s (GDEcD) Global Commerce team on the project in partnership with the Effingham Industrial Development Authority and Georgia Ports Authority.
“From the moment a company decides to locate a new facility in Georgia, countless partners are working together to reach the next milestone,” said Kristi Brigman, Deputy Commissioner of Global Commerce at the Georgia Department of Economic Development. “Congratulations to Bradshaw Home and all of the partners who worked together to create new jobs and opportunities in Effingham County.”
“One of the fundamental ways Arbor helps catalyze growth for our portfolio companies is to make transformative investments,” said Carl Allegretti, President of Arbor Investments, a specialized private equity firm that acquired Bradshaw in late 2021. “Whether it be investing in new facilities or increasing headcount to build out our teams, we believe in building the infrastructure to turbo charge growth. Our investment in this facility is a key example of Arbor’s commitment and willingness to provide support in pursuit of future growth opportunities.”
Bradshaw Chief Operating Officer, Gary Appel, praised the level of collaboration Bradshaw received from all levels during over two years of planning. “We simply could not have brought this project to fruition without the help of our partners,” said Appel.
